Basketball Unite is an educational sports-NGO based in Community 4 in
the city of tema
in Ghana, Westafrica. Our basketball court is the "KLM Playground".
80 young players and counting...
From the ages of 9 to 20 we coach all children and youths that come to our basketball court and are interested in playing the game, participating in the community and furthering their academic careers. Thus we take young teams from all ages and genders to practice, games, tournaments and to school.
6 educators who keep it running...
The Basketball Unite team of coaches, educators and health workers is a group of friends dedicated to support less privileged kids in the community. Almost all of our work is unpaid and done in our free time. This is why we pride ourselves in our passion - we create something out of nothing.
1 shared love for the game...
We all love the game of basketball, but we also work passionately for a good community around our basketball court and for our young players to academically and personally strive in an economically challenging environment - to strive in this game we call life!
